Every Monday, I’ll post about discovering genuine hope and authentic answers for living a healthy life.

The second need in the Authentic Hope Model, our topic for our Monday blogs, is for identity. It’s defined by the question, “Who am I?” Ideally, adults and children have current, honest, and complete answers to this question.

Identity controls behavior so when you see children consistently behaving in less than desirable ways, you can be sure their identity is unhealthy. They’re remembering and using their negative qualities.

Yet, everyone has positive qualities they could rely on. These include our intelligences. In this way, our Monday blogs link to our Wednesday blogs, which are always about our eight smarts.

I was recently interviewed by my friend, John Stonestreet, for his radio show, BreakPoint This Week from the Chuck Colson Center for Christian Worldview. I encourage you to find some time – right now, perhaps?! – to listen.

My 12 minutes of the show begins at the 13th minute. We talk about how being created with multiple intelligences reflects the image of God. You’ll enjoy the first part of the interview, too, about what it means to be created in God’s image. Enjoy!
