In this second episode about preventing suicide, Dr. Kathy shares things parents and others can be aware of and do to help children cope with any depression, stress, anxiety, and suicidal tendencies they have. This includes the role of play, school assessment, authority, antidepressants, planning for the future, and abortion. (The CDC recently published new research explaining that the suicide rate for children aged 10 through 14 nearly tripled from 2007 to 2017, while the suicide rate among older teenagers increased by 76 percent between 2007 and 2017.)
