Have you ever read this quote by Saint Basil?
“Many a man curses the rain that falls upon his head, and knows not that it brings abundance to drive away the hunger.”
What do you think about all the rain some parts of the world are getting? Have you discussed it with your children? It’s not just the Gulf Region of America, but friends of mine have lost everything to the floods in Niger, Africa. They needed rain there for the crops so they prayed for rain. Then they prayed it would stop. Before it did, the Niger River exploded beyond its banks and it’s predicted the water won’t recede until March! You read that right.
Have children asked you why God allows tropical storms and hurricanes and floods? What have you told them?
